2017/2018 Season - 2nd Half
The Division 2 team finished the the first half of the season holding 3rd place in the Division 2 Table.
In the second half of the season they will be looking to better that, with the aim of getting into the top 2 by the end of the season.
A combined, updated Fixture List for all teams (except U12’s) is included on the Fixtures page. Monthly Home Game lists (which give the game tip-off times) are included on the Home Games bi-monthly pages.
We believe that until Basketball is recognised in the UK as a spectator attraction as well as a participatory sport, facilities will continue to be provided without any consideration being given to spectator accommodation and welfare. Our Home Court has spectator accommodation and we have invested to enhance it and make spectating an attractive experience.
We therefore encourage you to come and support LBC teams - not just the Division 2 team, but the younger teams as well. All the players appreciate spectator support, the more the better.
There is an entrance charge for the Division 2 games, but it has been kept the same as in the 2016/2017 season, at only £2 for adults and £1 for children. There is no entrance charge for the other games
NBL Division 2 Home games (and, when possible, the U18 North Premier Division Home games) are live-streamed, under the Liverpool Basketball Live title on our YouTube channel. The live-streams are in HD, using a main camera at half-court, 2 fixed cameras on the end-lines and 2 behind the team benches. We are still developing this and could do with a couple of volunteers to help us.
It has a lot of potential, but we can only do so much with the few people currently available.
Live-streams of NBL Division 2 games will be available for catch-up viewing until the Monday evening after the game has been played. They will then be deleted from our YouTube channel. Live-streams of the U18 games will be re-named, but will remain available for viewing on our YouTube channel.
If you want to do more than just spectate, we are always on the lookout for ambitious Players, for Team and Assistant Coaches, for Game & Table Officials, for volunteers to help with the set-up and running of Home games, team management, the taking and processing of photos & videos, the taking, recording and publishing of game statistics.
