For the 2018/2019 Season, LBC is running teams in NBL Division 2, U18 North West, U16 North West and U14 North West.
We are also working together with Sefton Stars Basketball Club to develop basketball and co-operating particularly on an NBL Division 4 team (Liverpool Stars). All teams will be playing their Home games at our Home court, Archbishop Beck Sports College.
The season started with a number of friendlies and tournaments, together with the first NBL and Cup games towards the end of September 2018.
Updated LBC Fixture Lists are posted on the Fixtures page, updated Cup draws on their pages and details of Home Games from September through to March 2019 on their pages.
Our Facebook page will continue to provide updated details of of our proposed activities.
We believe that until Basketball is recognised in the UK as a spectator attraction as well as a participatory sport, facilities will continue to be provided without any consideration being given to spectator accommodation and welfare. Our Home Court has spectator accommodation and we have invested to enhance it and make spectating an attractive experience.
We therefore encourage you to come and support LBC teams - not just the NBL Division 2 team, but the younger age-group teams as well. All the players appreciate spectator support, the more and louder the spectators the better.
There is a spectator entrance charge for games involving the NBL Division 2 team, but there is no spectator entrance charge for other games
Home games involving the NBL Division 2 team (and, when possible, the NBL Division 4 and U18 teams) will be streamed live on our You Tube channel under the Liverpool Basketball Live title.
Live-streams of current season NBL games will be available for catch-up viewing after having been re-named and possibly edited.
The Liverpool Basketball You Tube channel also holds a number of videos from past seasons which are available for viewing, additional ones being added on an irregular basis.
If you want to do more than just spectate, we are always on the lookout for ambitious Players, for Team and Assistant Coaches, for Game & Table Officials, for volunteers to help with the set-up and running of Home games, team management, the taking and processing of photos & videos, the taking, recording and publishing of game statistics.
