All Liverpool’s teams are now out of their respective National Cup competitions, so they can now concentrate on their regular League games.
As of w/e 18/19 November, the NBL Division 2 team was in 3rd place in the Division Table, with 5 Wins from 7 games played. The updated NBL Division 2 Table, together with those for the U18, U16 and U14 teams has been published on our Face Book page
A combined, updated Fixture List for all teams (except U12’s) is included on the Fixtures page. Monthly Home Game lists (which give the game tip-off times) are included on the Home Games bi-monthly pages.
We believe that until Basketball is recognised in the UK as a spectator attraction as well as a participatory sport, facilities will continue to be provided without any consideration being given to spectator accommodation and welfare. Our Home Court has spectator accommodation and we have invested to enhance it and make spectating an attractive experience.
We therefore encourage you to come and support LBC teams - not just the Division 2 team, but the younger teams as well. All the players appreciate spectator support, the more the better.
There is an entrance charge for the Division 2 games, but it has been kept the same as in the 2016/2017 season, at only £2 for adults and £1 for children. There is no entrance charge for the other games
We have now commenced live-streaming NBL Division 2 Home games, under the Liverpool Basketball Live heading on our You Tube channel. We are still developing our live streaming and we could do with a couple of volunteers to help us. It has a lot of potential, but we can only do so much with the few people currently available. Livestreams of NBL Division 2 games are available for catch-up viewing until the Monday evening after the game has been played. They are then deleted from our You Tube channel.
If you want to do more than just spectate, we are always on the lookout for ambitious Players, for Team and Assistant Coaches, for Game & Table Officials, for volunteers to help with the set-up and running of Home games, team management, the taking and processing of photos & videos, the taking, recording and publishing of game statistics.
