⚫🔴 SENIOR RESULTS 🔴⚫ Two games this weekend for our senior teams with both the men's first & second team in action. Another entertaining, back and forth game yesterday saw our Division 2 team come out on top against Cardiff Met Archers. The team showed great character & spirit to come back from 14 points down in the second half to take the game by 6 points 95-89. Senior Results!!! 📣📣 A difficult double header weekend started off with a disappointing performance on the road against Teeside Lions. The teams slow start to the game was swiftly punished by their opponents, eventually losing the game by 22 points yesterday evening. An improved performance this afternoon against Manchester Magic with an underhanded squad saw the team battle closely in a back and forth game, however Manchester were able to create separation in the closing stages taking the National Cup tie by 8 points. #LiverpoolBasketball🔴⚫ #LetsGoLBC🔴⚫

SENIOR RESULTS! 🔴⚫ A fantastic back and forth game against Bristol Basketball United saw our Senior Men lead by as many as 24, but a battling 4th quarter from Bristol brought them back into the game even retaking the lead at one stage, but Liverpool regained the momentum and squeezed out a fantastic win 95-93 to pick up their first win of the season D2. Our Senior women followed things up with a battling defeat to Milton Keynes, a tough physical game that was close throughout, MK managed to create separation in the 4th quarter and take the game by 19 points 48-67. Our Division 4 team won again to remain unbeaten at 3-0 and top of the table after a hard fought win against Manchester Giants II, taking the game by 7 points 82-75. #LiverpoolBasketball🔴⚫ #LetsGoLBC🔴⚫

Senior results 🔴⚫️ Our Division 2 men took the trip down to Bristol, where after a late push and a closely fought Q4 came away with a 85-95 loss. This weekend also seen them come away with a 20-0 win over Manchester swarm in Round 2 of the national cup Our Division 2 women also took the trip down to Cardiff with a tough first test back into Division 2 came away with a 65-84 loss

Liverpool II strengthen squad ✍️ Adding three players to the squad this sees Liverpool add two returning players to the club and also one new face to LBC. Those players are as follows Joe Parkinson James Ward Robbie judge

Good luck to our high flyer Ethan Jaye as he embarks on a new challenge in professional life in Holland 🇳🇱✈️. Ethan joined the seniors men's team in 2021 & has become a shining example for all of our junior players to look at and aspire to be in our programme. Taking the opportunity infront of him Ethan has played for Liverpool the past 3 seasons & contributed towards three playoff berths, a conference title and promotion last season 🏆🎖️. His development on the court and more importantly off it have contributed to his success and given him the opportunity now in front of him. Pre season Win for Men II 🔴⚫️ Yesterday saw Liverpool II dominate their first pre season game against Division 3 side @cheshirewirebasketball A strong fast paced first quarter saw Liverpool take the lead by 17 points. Team USA has been touring the UK this week, playing against quality prem teams, and Liverpool Basketball Club are excited to have the opportunity to host this friendly match at their home court tomorrow. It’s time to welcome our coaches for the 2024-2025 season, first up is our Senior National League coaches With teams across both Men’s and Women’s leagues. We have five Senior Teams including both newly promoted Division 2 Men and Wheelchair teams. We’re also entering two second teams into the new Conference League and Division 3 Wheelchair team. Our senior Women’s also return to National League Division 2 for the 2024/25 season. We look forward to seeing all five teams in action next season.

Aspire all star weekend Congratulations to all three of our representatives from Liverpool for this weekend’s tournament. This weekend saw the U13 girls come away with a Second place finish losing narrowly in the final to the south region. Whilst the U13 boys came away with a third place finish after beating the Central region in the Third and fourth place game. A great a experience for all three, well done Sophie, Amy and Michael

Congratulations to Michael and Amy who have been selected to represent the North Region in the Basketball England All star tournament this weekend. This is where the best under 13s and under 15s across all regions are selected and meet for a weekend long tournament to crown the best region. This for a lot of players and coaches Is the first step on to the England talent pathway. Both coaches have been with the club a number of years now and this outstanding achievement is a testament to their commitment and hard work over that time. Both Michael and Amy are the first Liverpool Basketball coaches in recent years to represent the club at this level and we wish them luck in both the U13 boys and U13 girls in the tournaments #liverpoolbasketball🔴⚫️

After winning MABL League & playoff titles, Liverpool Basketball are pleased to confirm the Liverpool II team are entering the brand new @NBLEngland D3 Conference next season. The D3 Conference is a new league aimed to bridge the gap between local league and national league which means there will be a step up in standard for the team next season. The team will be running open scrimmages in the coming weeks, for anyone who is interested in playing and trying out for our D3 Conference team next season. Sessions will take play every Thursday at Archbishop Beck Tennis centre L9 2AR. These will run until August 1st where we will then be looking at making selections for the coming season. Following their fantastic season where they achieved promotion to Division 2, our Senior Mens team are beginning early plans for next season. NATIONAL CHAMPIONS 🔴🏆⚫ CONGRATULATIONS 🎉👏🏻 to our Wheelchair team Southport who confirmed their place as WINNERS of the Division 3 National Championship Southport who joined up with Liverpool Basketball at the beginning of this season, won the final with an impressive 46-42 win over CWBA, a fantastic achievement to everyone involved with the team. Ryan smart also picked up MVP honours for the final finishing the game with 21 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. DIVISION CHAMPIONS 🔴🏆⚫ CONGRATULATIONS 🎉👏🏻 to our Senior Mens MABL team who confirmed their place as WINNERS of the MABL Division one men’s league.  Liverpool won the league with an outstanding record of 22-0, a fantastic achievement to everyone involved with the team. The squad was put together last summer with the main aim of having a young and exciting team with some senior players sprinkled in to aid in development and leadership with the goal of winning the league whilst using this to build towards entering the D4 Conference league next season. After this season's result the team is shaping up nicely ready to take the step next season 📈. Defeat in the capital 🔴⚫ Unfortunately the Senior Mens playoff journey and season came to an end today after a difficult loss to @barnetbulldogs this afternoon. Barnet got out of the blocks quickly opening up a 20 point deficit in the first quarter. After that only 2 points separated the sides over the next three quarters but with the damage already done, Barnet managed to keep their lead intact with some outstanding perimeter shooting throughout. Congratulations to Barnet and good luck in the final next weekend 📈🏆. This brings an end to a very successful season for the Seniors Mens programme who won their conference with a record of 19-1 and qualified for promotion into Division 2 next season & reached a playoff semi final.
